PROGRAM FACILITIES Program facilities consisted of the habitat, a support barge, a crane barge (with decompression facilities), a causeway pier and a base camp. SURFACE SUPPORT A surface-support barge provided all utilities and services for the habitat and contained the watch director and psychological monitoring stations. A second barge held the DDC, PTC and a crane. BASE CAMP The base camp was built by the Navy Seabees and in many ways resembled the MASH camp depicted in the long-running television series in terms of both construction and social activity.
